Abandoned boats
Sometimes, boats can slip their moorings and get stuck in channels causing a hazard, other times boats can just be abandoned by their owners, in which case the BHA is responsible for keeping the harbour and channels clear and for keeping the environment safe. Occasionally, these boats can be sold on to a new owner or make excellent restoration projects and allow the boat to live on whilst saving the environment.
