Notice to Mariners

South Sands weather beacon

The south sands beacon is currently lying on the sand and the area should be avoided. Boats should stay towards the north side of the channel marked by port Marker 32 ‘To my Darling Sea Shanty’ to avoid colliding with the beacon.

The weather station and beacon will be recovered as soon as possible and reinstated before Spring arrives.
