Hopefully this will not be the case but please ensure that you have locked/safely secured your engines to your boat or removed them to reduce chance of theft. Please remain vigilant. Blakeney Harbour

Mariners should note the following:

1. HARBOUR ENTRANCE STARBOARD BUOY NO: 1 has been repositioned as follows:

N 52° 58.846’
E 000° 58.323’

2. The light sequence for the above buoy has been altered as follows:

FlG(5s)

3. The temporary green buff buoy positioned close to Harbour Entrance Buoy No. 1 has been removed.

4. To enter the harbour, vessels should proceed from the Fairway Buoy SSE to Harbour Entrance Buoy No. 1, leaving this buoy close to starboard before turning SW to Harbour Entrance Buoy No. 2 and onwards following the buoys into the harbour.

‼️THEFT‼️ A minimum of three outboard engines were stolen from Morston late on Wednesday 14th or early Thursday 15th August.

It’s thought these thefts were carried out by a criminal gang with a van and possibly two cars. The gang visited Burnham Overy and Wells on the same night.

Please check whether you have had anything stolen and advise the police and the BHA.

Blakeney Harbour

Mariners entering Blakeney Harbour should proceed from the Fairway Buoy directly towards the green unlit buff buoy in position N 52° 58.849’. E 000° 58.311’, passing at least 75M East of green Harbour Entrance buoy No. 1.
After reaching the green unlit buff buoy, immediately turn SW and head directly towards Harbour Entrance buoy No.2 and onward following the buoys as previously.

The harbour entrance channel is changing almost daily at the moment. Mariners intending to enter the harbour for the first time are therefore strongly advised to call 07771597985 for up to date pilotage information before entering.
